Deny Satisfaction to Denial of Service Attacks.
Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks pose a very real, and very serious, threat to your business. By launching a carefully choreographed strike against your network, DDoS perpetrators can bring down your corporate Website, cripple your intranet, drive up bandwidth costs, and prevent partners and customers from completing all-important business transactions. All this can add up to significant financial losses — indirectly due to lost productivity as well as directly because of lost sales and increased bandwidth and support costs.
Savvis’ Network-Based DDoS Mitigation Service works swiftly and effectively to diminish the impact of DDoS attacks.
- Minimizes network downtime so customers and partners can continue business as usual
- Provides protection at the core-router level and reroutes potential DDoS attack traffic to one or more “cleaning centers” to minimize system disruption
- Reduces costly bandwidth spikes
- Facilitates business continuity by continuing to process your legitimate transactions
- Employs a behavioral “anomaly” capability to improve attack traffic filtering and prevent future DDoS attempts
Maximize Uptime, Minimize Costs.
Because the Savvis Network-Based DDoS Mitigation Service is based “in the cloud,” you don’t have to buy any equipment or software upfront. For a predictable — and affordable —fee, you get access to the advanced DDoS detection and filtering equipment located on Savvis’ Tier 1 Internet network backbone, which stretches to more than 40 countries and serves approximately 25 percent of the world’s Internet traffic.
Two DDoS Mitigation Service options are available:
Basic Service. You contact the Savvis Response Center when you suspect a DDoS attack is underway. Your traffic will be placed into “protect mode,” which means that legitimate transactions will continue to be processed while malicious traffic is stopped.
Enhanced Service. Our world-class Managed Security Team monitors your network 24/7 to detect attacks on your behalf, and place your traffic into protect mode when required.
