ARCA Common Criteria Testing Lab (CCTL)
| Companies that supply security or security-enabled products to U.S. government agencies are required to undergo formal security evaluations, as mandated by the National Information Assurance Acquisition Policy. The Common Criteria (CC) is the first international standard for IT security evaluation, validation, and certification. In addition, the CC evaluation enables companies to differentiate their products from those of their competitors and clearly demonstrate that their security functionality performs as promised. |
 |
Common Criteria Testing Laboratories (CCTLs) conduct security evaluations of IT products and protection profiles using test methods derived from the Common Criteria and the Common Evaluation Methodology. All CCTLs must be accredited by National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) and approved by the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) Validation Body. NVLAP falls under NIST, but NVLAP is the accrediting authority.
SAVVIS operates the ARCA Common Criteria Testing Laboratory, one of only ten U.S. Government-accredited CCTLs.
