SAVVIS is a leader in bringing utility computing services to agencies and enterprises. These utility services offer all the server, storage, and network resources your applications need with high availability, full security, and the ability to easily scale up or down as your needs evolve.

SAVVIS has a long history of delivering IT solutions that support the federal government marketplace dating back to 1987 with the founding of ARCA, a business unit of SFS. ARCA was the first Common Criteria Test Lab (CCTL) chartered and sponsored by the US Federal Government to test and certify third-party vendors’ security products used by the Federal Government.

The goal of SAVVIS Federal Systems is to become the secure hosting solutions provider-of-choice for the Federal Government’s Information Assurance and Security protection challenges within the Nation's critical information infrastructure. We provide the ability to address the unique information technology needs of the U.S. Federal Government’s departments and agencies, including the ability to support these needs with appropriately cleared staff.

This paper introduces the concept of an Infrastructure Services-Oriented Architecture (ISOA) as a framework for enabling enterprises’ current and next-generation application deployment and support, via a managed services provider. As a natural extension of service-oriented IT and related architectural strategies, ISOA presents a meaningful construct to define, design, and organize services that an MSP delivers to support enterprise IT functions ideally suited to outsourcing.
Through the use of advanced service provider technologies and highly integrated, process-driven interface portals, the benefits to the enterprise extend well beyond reduced cost structures, providing enhanced application visibility and control to ensure optimized IT performance.
